Mr Cronan Kerin

Mr Cronan Kerin is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Liverpool University Hospitals, with a strong interest in education and training at all levels. He graduated from St Andrews and Manchester Universities, completed Higher Surgical Training on the Oswestry programme, and undertook fellowships in the UK, America, Germany, and Northern Ireland. His clinical interests include primary knee replacement, soft tissue reconstruction, sports injuries, and complex trauma. He regularly teaches at national and international courses and is widely recognised for his commitment to training and mentorship. He is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool and previously served as Training Programme Director for the Mersey region. Nationally, he has served as Selection Design Group Chair, Liaison Member for Scotland, and was recently appointed Chair of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) for Trauma and Orthopaedics. He is also an FRCS (Tr & Orth) examiner. An accomplished runner, Mr Kerin enjoys marathon and ultramarathon events in his spare time.
